Getting there

By car: take the Great East Road to the Mulungushi International Conference Centre. We recommend the parking area at the back of the mall — dedicated event parking is limited.

By public transport: the nearest stop for runners coming from the west and north is Arcades bus stop. Make sure you are at the start line before 05:30 — the race starts on time, gun timing.

The start area

The start/finish area is open to participants only. For security, only runners wearing official race numbers may enter.

The start area opens at 05:00. Friends and family must remain outside the start area. Dogs and bicycles are not allowed.

Course time limit

The course time limit is 6 hours 15 minutes after crossing the timing mat. Runners slower than the limit must move to the sidewalk or board the sweeper vehicles to the finish. Only runners who finish over the finish mat receive an official result and medal.

Race rules

  • Backpacks and hydration vests with pockets/compartments larger than 3 litres are not allowed on the course.
  • Please don't wear headphones — you need to hear other runners, volunteers, and marshals at all times.
  • Wear your bib visibly on your chest at all times. It's your access to the course, hydration points, and your finisher medal.

Facilities

  • Changing tents are available at the venue.
  • Convenience rooms are available inside Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
  • Mobile toilets are stationed along the 42km course.
